So the people walking around the airport yesterday bearing black cross-looking marks on their foreheads were not being selected for some special screening. It’s actually religious, and I was oblivious to it as always.

this is the opposite of a city. all asphalt and cars and no concentrations of anything. very strange.

last.fm should:
- show the volume at which i listen to certain artists
- show me new albums of artists i listen to a lot. it already has all necessary data.

at some point my feed reader and my msn buddies became the new television. it happened years and years ago and i’m sure the same thing happened to you.
i wonder what the sideeffects will be. is it better or worse than teevee?

So I’m trying to watch Shortbus but eventually give up (it’s too much), but get this overwhelming desire to listen to The Velvet Underground’s All Tomorrow’s Parties. I put it on. As customary after watching a film, I hit IMDB to browse the film’s trivia and find out that Jonathan Caouette, actor/director of 2003’s Tarnation, has a cameo in Shortbus. Cool. I click through to his profile on IMDB and find out he’s directing a new movie, slated for 2008. Called All Tomorrow’s Parties.

So of the 34 major nominated films, I have already watched 15, and intend on watching another 12 (all of which have been downloaded, and are waiting for me to stop watching the second season of 24).

You can dye your hair but it’s the one thing you can’t change.
Can’t run away from yourself.
In the meantime we try, etc. Funny how it all falls away.
