some times it’s worth waking up at 4am just to check in for tomorrow’s flight and end up with an emergency exit row seat where nobody will lean their chair back on you for 12 hours.

purpose

the reason i haven’t written anything noteworthy here in the past, say, five months, has little to do with the fact that i’m moving tomorrow, and more to do with the fact that i haven’t had any interesting thoughts in the past five months. i’ve been keeping myself entertained with producing other things (work, sites), and with reading a whole lot. not to mention loads of teevee, and generally welcoming the transition from dark netherland winter to mild netherland spring. it’s been refreshing. but not write-productive. i might write here again at some point. and that point could be tomorrow. i don’t know. writing begets writing. inspiration pulls itself up by the bootstraps and backflips into reason. and i’m far from that sensation. uninspired for writing. unfit for creating words. more apt at screenshotting and noting noteworthy selections of the world around me (hence the excess of one-liners). writing this inspires me to move on, and start writing more. we’ll see what comes of it. in the mean time i’m mostly pissed that KLM charges €30 for every extra kilo of luggage. fucking ripoff.
