loose ends

at some point i deleted track #4 from hail to the thief in my itunes. i must have taken at least three years to realize it, and when i finally noticed and re-imported the track today it felt like a whole new, strange and wrong part of the album.

I can’t be the only one finding this deeply amusing for exactly two reasons.

I wonder if the Roman empire noticed it was crumpling.

at some point, it always becomes an obsession.

i’ve taken about 50.000 photos since i got my first camera, about 10 years ago. this covers approximately 5.000 distinct locations/events/moments. and i can look at any one of them and instantly recall where it was taken, when, and who i was with. and i know you’re the exact same way about your photos (and would also be if you had taken a few more). still i have a hard time remembering my own phone number or what i had for lunch yesterday.

considering it’s all unwatched video, i’ve got a few nights in front of the couch ahead of me.
